Why Does it Matter?
Volunteerism is an enormous renewable resource for social, economic and environmental problem-solving throughout the world. As the world faces mounting challenges, volunteers are often the first to help. Volunteers are at the fore in crises and emergencies, often in very testing and dire situations.
How can we celebrate this day?
Share Your Reflections: Have you witnessed the positive effects of volunteering or been part of a volunteer project? Take a moment to reflect and share your experiences. Your stories might just inspire others.
Appreciate Volunteers: Extend your gratitude to volunteers around you. Whether it's a friend, family member, or someone in the community, acknowledging their efforts is a meaningful gesture.
Explore Causes: Consider exploring causes that resonate with you. Volunteering doesn't always require active participation; sometimes, understanding and learning about different causes can be equally impactful.
