First, what is a tongue twister, anyway? I'm glad you asked!

A tongue twister is a phrase or sentence that is difficult to articulate, often due to the presence of a sequence of similar sounds. The main challenge of a tongue twister is saying it quickly and accurately without stumbling over the words and getting tongue-tied.

Why Are Tongue Twisters Useful?

Sometimes tongue twisters might not make sense and may be quite silly, but they are a great tool for improving one’s fluency and pronunciation skills.

Let's Give Some Tongue Twisters a Try.

1. Nine nice night nurses nursing nicely.

2. A skunk sat on a stump and thunk the stump stunk, but the stump thunk the skunk stunk.

3. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.

4. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

5. She sells seashells by the seashore.

6. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear. Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t very fuzzy, was he?

Number 6 is my favorite! Which one is yours?
