No, I am talking about people who are not exactly your friends!

A false friend is a word in one language that is similar in form or sound to a word in another language but has a different meaning. For instance, in Romanian, a “magazín” is simply a shop! so, if you’re going to a newsstand in Romania and ask for a “magazín”, they will probably point you to the nearest shop.
