AHA

AHA may have been forgotten by the younger generation. Still, the first band to really put Norway on the map of pop music was this boy band. Although they are still occationally playing concerts (normally announced as their last one), they are still mostly famous for their first hit, «Take on me». It has also been sampeled by artists like The Weekend, Pitbull and Christina Aguilera.

The epic music video from the 80s is still a masterpiece. You can watch it here

Ylvis

Ok, these guys are not really a band, but a comic duo. They were famous in Norway for their musical shows, then later a variety of game showes and talk shows. As they perform mainly in Norwegian, they did not reach world fame until their song about a forest animal went viral more than ten years ago. And who really knows what the fox says anyways? Ra-ta-ta-tatata-ra-ta-ta-ta.

Still not sure what I am refering to? The song can be viewed
