Yet another international day to celebrate; 21st of February is International Mother Language Day!
Since UNESCO (General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) proclaimed this day in 1999, 21st of February is a day to acknowledge the importance of preserving languages, as they are essential for diversity and cultural and intellectual heritage.
