Ahojte všetci a všetky,
On February 21, we celebrate the beauty and diversity of languages around the world. What better way to honour this day than by sharing our love for our mother languages?
So, tell us: What do you love most about your mother language? Share your favourite words, phrases, or memories that make your mother tongue unique and special to you! Let's celebrate the richness of linguistic diversity together.

I’ll start:
My favourite word is “ňuňu”. It is actually an interjection and it’s used to describe something really cute!
Also, I love how in Slovak, it is possible to create a diminutive almost from anything (a diminutive is a form of a word that makes something seem smaller, cuter, or more affectionate).
For example, word “pohoda” can become “pohodička”. A small “paradajka” (tomato) is “paradajočka”. A little”pavúk” (spider) is “pavúčik”.
I’m really curious to hear about your mother language.
