We all come from different countries and we usually meet in communities like this one to share our cultures and languages, we usually focus on what is different and unfamiliar. I would like to turn the tables a little bit and do a small experiment. I would like to ask you to share in this thread the similarities you didn't expect. Is there anything that you thought was unique to your country but when you arrived in Poland you realised that it is also common in Poland? It could be anything - festivals, traditions, or even simple, everyday things, for example, the way we make our sandwiches! Just anything that comes to mind. Have you spotted any similar aspects of the language too? Any kind of proverbs or expressions that you thought existed only in your language but it turned out they are also there in Polish? I’m really curious!
