Let's talk about our weekends!
We now have a place to talk about what we do (or plan to do) on our weekends!
Weekends are a huge topic of conversation whether you are having a conversation at school, at your job, or with friends.
You might hear the common question, "How was your weekend?" or, "What did you do over the weekend?" to which you would respond by talking about what you did, who you saw, where you went, etc.
So, in this discussion thread, that's exactly what we will do: speak about our weekends. You can return as often as you would like to talk about your weekends. I'll get us started.
Over the weekend, I went to a nature reserve & bird sanctuary with a friend. It was in a salt swamp/salt marsh. I'd never walked through a habitat that was mostly water before. One of the coolest aspects of this nature reserve is that they built wooden boardwalks above the water so we could walk out into the vast reaches of the swamp without getting wet. It was incredibly silent there except for the sounds of birds cawing or singing, animals splashing in the water and our footsteps on the wooden walk. Here are a few pictures of my experience:
