Today, March 21 we celebrate World Poetry Day!
The United Nations organization - UNESCO - decided to celebrate World Poetry Day annually during its 30th General Conference in Paris in 1999.
The aim of making this day special is to support linguistic diversity through poetic expression and increase the opportunity for endangered languages to be heard.
World Poetry Day is an occasion to honor poets, revive the oral tradition of poetry recitals, encourage the reading, writing, and teaching of poetry, and promote convergence between poetry and other arts such as theater, dance, music, and painting.
To celebrate this day, why don't you have a look at my blog post about 3 Contemporary Bulgarian Writers to Know About if you haven’t done it yet?
Keep calm and Don’t stop reading, dear community!
