Practice the most common verbs

The two most common verbs in the Norwegian language (and probably many other languages too) must be 

å ha - to have

and 

å være - to be

You probably remember this from you language lessons, but if not, here is a short repetition: 

  • å ha - har - hadde - har hatt / 
  • to have - have - had - have had
  • å være - er - var - har vært 
  • to be - am/is/are - was/were - have been 

Try using the verbs to tell a short story, or to give an explanation in three sentences. 

Here is an example: 

Jeg er glad. Jeg var glad i går også. Jeg har vært glad lenge. 

I am happy. I was happy yesterday too. I have been happy for a long time.
