Hi there!

Today, I'll share with you some of my favorite French foods names!

Ratatouille: It's not just the name of the famous Disney movie; it's also a delicious French dish made of vegetables. The word itself is playful and rolls off the tongue.

Choucroute: Another dish name! Choucroute is a dish made of fermented cabbage, often served with sausages. But doesn't it sound like a cute little cabbage?

Pamplemousse: French for "grapefruit." It's just fun to say, especially if you emphasize the "pam-plem-ousse" part!

Chocolatine: This word is used in some regions of France to refer to what others might call a "pain au chocolat." The debate over whether it's called a "pain au chocolat" or "chocolatine" can spark some amusing arguments. More to come about this subject ;)

Did you know these words? Do you know any other funny french words? Let us know in the comments section down below!

Cheers!
