"Ѕ" — the tenth letter in the Macedonian alphabet!
however, this letter is much older and was found in the Old Slavic script, where it came from the verb letter ("ꙃѣло"). The letter indicates the sound /ʣ/ (voiced crown fused consonant).
Despite the identical appearance, this letter is unrelated to the Latin letter S, which came from the Greek letter sigma.
The letter "S" is found only in the Macedonian alphabet, among all Slavic alphabets. It is considered that it originates from the Glagolitic of St. Cyril and Methodius.
Even though, there are not many words starting with the letter "S", this letter adds to the uniqueness and beauty of the language.
