I have just realised that we talked so much about my mother tongue (Romanian), and I haven't asked you about yours!
So, let's use this discussion topic to talk about your mother tongue. I would love to know any of the following:
- What do you love about your language? Is it the way it sounds, the way it expresses emotions?
- What is your favorite saying or proverb in your language? If you want to feel inspired, here is a blog post about proverbs in Romanian.
- Share a phrase that holds special meaning for you, along with its translation!
- Are there any unique words or expressions that don't have a direct translation in other languages? For instance, I love the word "saudade" in Portuguese, which doesn't have a translation but means a sad state of intense longing for someone or something that is absent. So beautiful!
