Did you know that the capital of Bulgaria has its own font called "Sofia Sans"?

This font is part of the visual identity of the city and was developed with the aim of creating a unique and recognizable face of Sofia in the communication materials it uses. "Sofia Sans" was designed with an emphasis on legibility and modern design, while retaining elements that reflect the city's cultural heritage and character.

The font is available in a variety of styles, making it suitable for print and digital materials. The creation of its own font is part of Sofia's strategy to distinguish itself among other European capitals.

The idea is that the official inscriptions in the capital use Sofia Sans - a font family with a total of 25 elements, including Cyrillic and Latin letters, punctuation and mathematical signs, pictograms, etc.

The Sofia Sans font was developed by a team at the chief architect, which included specialists from the Academy of Arts.

The Sofia sans font supports 141 different languages.

If you are in Sofia now, I encourage you to try to recognise the Sofia´ font and upload photos in this discussion topic to share with the community.

Enjoy your expedition!
