Dear community,

Having the privilege of being able to go on an Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps program can be such an enriching life experience. And what you take in and learn while you're there can stay with you for a very long time. Before asking you to share what habit you plan to adopt or have adopted from your Erasmus+/ ESC program, I will share my own experience:

I remember from my Erasmus+ exchange program in Toulouse, France, that I was so intrigued by how the French do lunch. From what I've seen, the French really take their time for lunch and eat a proper meal whenever they can. Which is vastly different from most European countries, where a quick sandwich in between work or studies is often the custom. During my time there, I adopted this habit with my Erasmus+ friends, and we ate many nutritious and long lunches together. And now, almost ten years after my time in Toulouse, I still try to cook a real, preferably warm, meal in my kitchen and take the time to eat it.

That was my story of the habit I have adopted from my Erasmus+ experience, but now I want to hear from you! Are there any cultural customs or habits you have adopted in your host country? And are you (planning to) implement those in your life back at home?

I’m curious to hear from you!

Hope to see you in the comments :-)
