The summer is approaching and we picked up another unique library in the Czech Republic which you may find interesting.

This time it is the newly reconstructed building of the Red Church which includes several culturally important spaces among which belongs a library.
The Red Church and its library is renowned for its extensive collections and commitment to supporting scholarship and literacy. Located in the historical city of Olomouc, the library plays a critical role in the academic and cultural life of the region.
The reconstruction of the Red Church library in Olomouc was a significant undertaking that aimed to preserve and revitalize this historic and culturally significant institution. The reconstructed building was also nominated for an architectonic award in 2023.
The Red Church, also known as the Church of the Virgin Mary on the Green, dates back to the 14th century and has long been a landmark in Olomouc. Its library, housed within the church complex, containes a remarkable collection of rare books, manuscripts, and historical documents.
