I'm sure you'll have a great time in Katowice, in the exciting region of Upper Silesia (Górny Śląsk) - there are so many cities and towns around that you'll never be bored. The area is known for its industry - coal mines so you will naturally experience the post-industrial atmosphere. In the last few years, the cities have been renovated and it's a really exciting time to visit!
