Today is International Youth Day!
International Youth Day is celebrated annually on 12th August with the aim of recognising the role young people play in societies. This day serves as an opportunity to draw the international community's attention to youth-related issues.
This year’s theme is "From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development." It seeks to highlight the significant connection between digitalisation and the acceleration of progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), showcasing the crucial contributions of young people in this transformative process.
This Day was proclaimed in Resolution 54/120 adopted at the UN General Assembly on 17th December 1999.
