Everyone loves animals and pets right? But how do I say in Hungarian that I have a pet or would like to have one...?

Van egy háziállatom - I have a pet
Szeretnek egy háziállatot - I would like to have a pet

Popular pets in Hungarian:

dog - kutya (endearing terms: kutyus, kutyi, kutyuli)
cat - macska (endearing terms: macsek, cica, cicó)
horse - ló (e.t.: paci)
turtle, tortoise - teknős (teki)
bird - madár
parrot - papagáj
hamster - hörcsög (höri)
guinnea pig - tengeri malac
rabbit - nyúl (nyuszi)
mouse - egér
fish -hal
goldfish - aranyhal

Nekem nincs háziállatom, de ahol lakom van két kutyus és egy cica. En szeretnék majd egy kisebb kutyát, ha többet lennék itthon. Gyerekkoromban volt hörcsögünk, kutyánk, papagájunk, nyuszink. Soha nem volt macskánk, de most szeretem a macskákat.
