We are excited to continue our series on Czech adjectives to help you enhance your language skills. In Part III, we will focus on adjectives that are particularly useful for describing people, states, conditions and activities. We encourage you to dive in, practise these new words, and share your thoughts or questions with us.

  1. Zdravý (healthy)

    • Czech: Jím zdravé jídlo.
    • English: I eat healthy food.

  2. Chladný (cold)

    • Czech: Dnes je chladný den.
    • English: Today is a cold day.

  3. Teplý (warm)

    • Czech: Mám rád teplý čaj.
    • English: I like warm tea.

  4. Mladý (young)

    • Czech: On je velmi mladý muž.
    • English: He is a very young man.

  5. Silný (strong)

    • Czech: Ten chlapec je velmi silný.
    • English: That boy is very strong.

  6. Slabý (weak)

    • Czech: Cítím se slabý po nemoci.
    • English: I feel weak after the illness.

  7. Šťavnatý (juicy)

    • Czech: Tento meloun je velmi šťavnatý.
    • English: This watermelon is very juicy.

  8. Horký (hot)

    • Czech: Káva je příliš horká.
    • English: The coffee is too hot.

  9. Křehký (fragile)

    • Czech: Tento porcelán je velmi křehký.
    • English: This porcelain is very fragile.

  10. Pohodlný (comfortable)

  • Czech: Tato židle je velmi pohodlná.
  • English: This chair is very comfortable.
