Hello everyone!

Winter is here, and Denmark is truly special at this time of year. From cozy Christmas markets to chilly dips in the sea, winter offers plenty of activities that can make your time here even more memorable. Let’s talk about how to make the most of the Danish winter and get ready for the holiday season!

Here are some activities and traditions you can experience:

Visit a Christmas Market:
Denmark has many charming Christmas markets where you can find handmade gifts, decorations, and taste gløgg (mulled wine) and æbleskiver (Danish pancake balls). Have you visited a Christmas market yet? If so, which one, and what was your favorite part?

Join a "Julefrokost" (Christmas Lunch):
A Danish Christmas lunch is a big part of the holiday season, filled with delicious food and good company. Have you attended a julefrokost yet? If not, would you like to?

Try a Cold Dip:
Are you brave enough to take a winter dip in the sea? Many Danes love winter bathing, especially during the Christmas season. Would you dare to try it?

Create Hygge with Candles and Hot Cocoa:
Hygge is essential during the Danish winter. How do you create hygge in your home or dorm? Do you have any special rituals?

I would love to hear your thoughts on the above and to see which activities you are most excited about joining this year? or which have been your favourite so far?

Let’s share experiences, tips, and stories! Maybe we can discover new ways to enjoy the Danish winter together.

Wishing you all a wonderful winter and a Merry Christmas!
