Your Favourite Food
Food is an essential part of daily conversation in any language. In Irish, we can express our food preferences using "Is maith liom" (I like) or "Is breá liom" (I love), followed by the food item. For example, "Is maith liom arán" means "I like bread." We can also use "Is fearr liom" to say what we prefer, making it easy to compare different foods we enjoy.
Exercise: Share your favorite foods by:
- Naming two foods you like using "Is maith liom..."
- One food you don't like using "Ní maith liom..."
- Asking others what they like using "An maith leat...?"
