Below I collected some phrases for shopping and ordering that will help you feel more confident:
At the Market or Store
- Колко струва? (Kolko struva?) – How much does it cost?
- Искам това. (Iskam tova.) – I want this.
- Може ли едно еспресо, моля? (Mozhe li edno espreso, molya?) – Can I have an espresso, please?
- Имате ли сметана? (Imate li smetana?) – Do you have sour cream?
- Мога ли да платя с карта? (Moga li da platya s karta?) – Can I pay with a card?
At a Restaurant or Café
- Може ли меню. (Мozhe li meniu?) – Menu, please?
- Искам да си поръчам супа/салата. (Iskam da si porācham supa/ salata.) – I’d like to order a soup/ a salad.
- Мога ли да пробвам (Moga li da probvam?) - Can I try?
- Може ли вода? (Mozhe li voda?) – Can I have water?
- Сметката, моля. (Smetката, molya.) – The bill, please.
- Храната беше чудесна! (Khranata beshe chudesna!) – The food was wonderful!
