OLS is a network of language communities launched by the European Commission to support participants of Erasmus+and the European Solidarity Corps in improving the language they’ll use during their time abroad — whether studying, working, or volunteering. The aim is to help participants make the most of their mobility experience by building their language skills.
OLS is part of the European Union Academy, the EU’s central platform for online learning. There, you’ll find top-quality educational content, practical insights, and resources directly from EU institutions, all designed to help you better understand and apply EU policies in different areas.
Through OLS, you have access to language training in 29 European languages, including: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Irish Gaelic, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Maltese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.
Each language has its own community, led by a native-speaking Community Manager, where you’ll find plenty of learning materials — from complete courses and interesting articles to forums, live speaking sessions, and fun competitions. There’s something for everyone!
