The rich cultural heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and affordable cost of living often exceed expectations as well.
For some, the differences in academic systems or student life can be eye-opening. You might notice how Slovak universities encourage more independent study or how small the student communities are. Additionally, you may find Slovakia's history and traditions, like the celebration of local festivals or the love for traditional cuisine, both fascinating and unexpected.
