I've never lived abroad, but I did travel abroad a few years ago! I went to Malaysia, a Southeast Asian country near Vietnam (which took 2 hours flying). One thing about the eating out culture I think I'd never tried before when I was in Vietnam, is the food courts. They had food courts with different types of food and gathered around an area, and the tables were shared, which means you could grab a dish at court 1 and have another dish at court 2 and eat together at the tables, so it was a diverse and fun experience for me!
Besides, the milk tea in Malaysia was amazing. It was rich in taste, buttery, and very aromatic. I think that was the best drink I've ever had in Malaysia!
