Studying abroad is a different experience, especially when it comes to education. Many exchange students notice key differences in teaching styles, grading systems, and student-professor relationships.

Teaching Style – Some systems focus on memorisation, while others emphasise critical thinking and discussions.
Student-Professor Interaction – In some countries, professors are addressed formally, while in others, students call them by their first names.
Grading & Assessment – Some universities rely on final exams, while others use continuous assessment with essays, presentations, and participation.
Independence – Some students are used to structured schedules, while others must manage their studies independently.
Class Sizes & Extracurriculars – Some systems prioritise small discussions and activities, while others focus solely on academics.

Adjusting can be challenging, but it’s a great way to develop adaptability and a global perspective on education. What differences have you noticed in your exchange experience?
