Hello Everyone

I thought this week, it would be a good idea to talk about Spring. Considering that we just went over to daylight savings, let´s talk about spring words and how to put them into sentences.

1. Vocabulary Match – Spring Words

Match the Danish word with its English translation:

Danish Words:

  • Forår

  • Blomster

  • Solskin

  • Træer

  • Fugle

  • Regn

  • Sommerhus

  • Dagslys

English Words:
A. Birds
B. Trees
C. Rain
D. Flowers
E. Daylight
F. Sunshine
G. Spring
H. Summerhouse

2. Fill in the Blanks – Spring Sentences

Complete the sentences with the correct Danish word:

Om foråret bliver dagene __________ (kortere / længere).

Fuglene __________ (synger / sover) om morgenen.

Blomsterne __________ (gror / falder) i haven.

Jeg kan godt lide at gå en tur i __________ (mørket / solen).

Vi skifter uret én time __________ (frem / tilbage) til sommertid.

3. True or False – Daylight Savings Time

Mark each statement as sand (true) or falsk (false):

Danmark flytter uret én time frem i marts.

Om vinteren er dagene længere end om sommeren.

Solen skinner mindre i foråret end om vinteren.

Nætterne bliver kortere efter sommertid.

Forår i Danmark begynder i december.

4. Sentence Builder – My Favorite Spring Activity

Use these words to create a sentence about spring:

  • Jeg

  • kan godt lide

  • at gå

  • i parken

  • om foråret

  • fordi

  • solen skinner

Example: Jeg kan godt lide at gå i parken om foråret, fordi solen skinner.
