Labas everyone!
Settling into a new country also means figuring out the daily rhythm of life here in Lithuania. I thought it would be helpful to start a thread where we can share a bit about our daily routines and maybe learn some useful Lithuanian words along the way.
To kick things off, here are a few basic words related to our daily activities. Maybe try using them in a sentence about your day!
Pabusti - To wake up
Nusiprausti veidą - To wash your face
Pasiruošti - To get ready
Išeiti į darbą/mokslus - To leave for work/studies (mokslus is for studies)
Grįžti namo - To come back home
Vakarieniauti - To have dinner
Ilsėtis - To rest/relax
Eiti miegoti - To go to sleep
Also, you can check the A1 course and hear how these words sound.
What does your typical day look like here in Lithuania? Any funny cultural differences you've noticed in daily routines compared to your home country? Let's chat and learn from each other! Maybe you can even teach us some words from your language too!
Looking forward to hearing from you all!
Truly Yours,
