Dear Serbian community,
Here I am again to invite you all to our next online Serbian speaking session, on May 29 at 4pm CET!
About this event:
Let’s meet up and see how
we can team up to make the most of learning Serbian! The goal of
the session is to figure out which topics you would like us to delve into
and at what pace, so that we can organize our platform activities in that
direction.
This speaking session will focus on learning and/or revising the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet, after which, we will practice reading sentences in Cyrillic. Depending on the level of the participants’ knowledge, I would propose preparing some sentences in Serbian or in English. If they are in English, we will translate them together, write them in Cyrillic and read them! We can then move on to open ended questions in Serbian. We may, but not necessarily, stick to: Why do you like and learn the Serbian language? / Zašto voliš i učiš srpski jezik? / Зашто волиш и учиш српски језик? (Tip!!! This is a typical “why” question that you answer by saying “because …” – in Serbian, it’s “Zato što... / Зато што…” + 1st person singular of a verb in any tense + whatever you want to say!)
