A literal translation of this phrase is hard to do. So, let's go word by word:
SVE: all, everything
SVAŠTA: all sorts of things, a myriad of different, unpaired things. If you want to say: "Nonsense!", you can say "Svašta!"
It collocates with verbs biti (to be) and imati (to have):
Na štandu je bilo sve i svašta. - There were all sorts of things at the stand. (if we want to use the genitive, we will say: Na štandu je bilo svega i svačega.)
Can you tell a difference between:
Ispričaću ti sve! and
Ispričaću ti svašta!
(ispričati means to tell)
What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
