¡Hello amigas & amigos! How are you all doing? :-)
Autumn is gaining momentum, and with it comes the much-needed fresh air of the fall. For those already in Spain and/or Latin America, we hope you are enjoying your stay abroad and making the most of this once in a lifetime experience. If you are still at home packing your bags, or you’ve just signed your Learning Agreement, we are looking forward to welcoming you! :-)
With this announcement, we want to make sure that you don’t miss this year’s Erasmus Days, which will take place on 13th, 14th and 15th October throughout Europe and beyond. The aim of this initiative is to promote European values, explain the benefits of international mobility and communicate the impact of Erasmus + projects with citizens, stakeholders, media and policymakers.
If you are an Erasmus + beneficiary, a European actor or an alumni of the programme, the Erasmus Days will give you the chance to share your experience, organise an event or spread the word about your project. Do you wish to study, train or volunteer abroad instead? The Erasmus Days are the perfect opportunity for you to obtain information about the countless options available and talk to former mobility participants, who will be excited to share their adventures with you.
Many countries are hosting events such as exhibitions, concerts, contests, seminars, open days and partner networking sessions, among others. In 2021, 5,670 activities were held across 67 different nations! Are you curious about this global initiative and would like to explore further? Go have a look at the official website of the Erasmus Days 2022 and find out what is happening in your area :-)
Erasmus + is the European Union's flagship programme for education, training, youth and sport, which has been up and running since 1987. It was launched as an international exchange scheme for university students 35 years ago, with the participation of 3,200 young people from 11 European states. Since then, the programme has grown in size and outreach, offering a wide range of opportunities to students, staff, trainees, teachers, volunteers and others. Thanks to Erasmus +, around 13 million people have been able to learn, work or train abroad.
Happy birthday, Erasmus!
¡Feliz cumpleaños, Erasmus!
