Dear community members,

In our A1, A2, B1 and B2 courses, we are integrating more and more modules that highlight the importance of taking care of our earth in a sustainable and ethical way.

An example of such a module is the B2 course module ‘What if we changed our way of consuming’. In this module, you’re tasked with persuading a friend to participate in a challenge called “Nothing new, second-hand items only”. You can take the module here: https://academy.europa.eu/courses/my-english-course-b2

Practice Exercise:

  2. My colleague Marissa thinks it’s important to … paper, glass and plastic.
  3. Carbon dioxide and methane are examples of … that drive climate change.
  4. Alison cycles to work on Mondays and Tuesdays. This helps her keep fit and reduces her ….
  5. Our school has introduced ‘meatless Monday’ to help us all live a more … lifestyle.
  6. James used to buy his organic t-shirts from a well-known fast fashion brand but stopped when this brand was accused of ….
  7. My children used to swim in the lake by our house until I read in a newspaper article that it was severely ….
