Hej Allesammen,
This week, we will focus on camping life in Denmark – a very popular summer activity, which is soon coming to an end, so now is your chance! Camping is a great way to experience Danish nature, from forests to beaches. You will learn new words like telt (tent), sovepose (sleeping bag), and practice building sentences with kan (can) and skal (must/should).
We’ll finish with a fun diary exercise about a camping trip in Jylland and a discussion question where you can share your own experiences.
Vocabulary
telt – tent
sovepose – sleeping bag
bål – campfire
myg – mosquito
Sentence Building with Modal Verbs
Practice making sentences with kan (can) and skal (must/should):
Examples:

Man skal have myggespray med. (You must bring mosquito spray.)
Your Turn:

Man ______ lave mad over ______.

I fredags tog vi på camping i Jylland. Vi satte vores ______ op ved en sø. Om aftenen lavede vi mad over ______ og spiste skumfiduser. Jeg sov i min ______ og kunne høre frøerne kvække. Der var mange ______, så næste gang tager jeg myggespray med!
