In this OLS module, you can learn how to cook following Hungarian recipes step by step – with videos, recipes, and even some kitchen mistakes! If you are not active in the kitchen, still, it is evry useful to know name sof basic igredients, recipe teps, action verbs in related to cooking, quntity epressions etc.

In this module you can practice:
Verbs for cooking actions (összekever, előmelegít, forral, süt).
Quantities and measurements (egy kanálnyi, egy szelet, egy doboz)
The grammar of “kell” (need to) and the use of the objective case.
Reading and completing recipes in Hungarian.
Fun expressions with food, like piros, mint a paprika (“red as a pepper”).

- What is your favorite dessert – and do you know its name in Hungarian?
- If you were to write a short recipe in Hungarian (even just 2–3 steps), which dish would you choose?
You can answer fully in Hungarian a mix of Hungarian and English! Don’t worry about mistakes, just try to use some of the cooking verbs or food words you’ve learned!
