 Dear Hungarian Community,

We have a new opportunity for you to participate in as a community member: the ‘Erasmus+’ Theme Song mini contest! The contest is in honour of the Erasmus Days, which is an international six-day celebration of the Erasmus+ programme held between the 13th and 18th of October

How does it work?

In essence, you are asked to come up with a ‘theme song’ to your Erasmus+ experience and enter the contest by sharing it in a comment below. This could be a song you’re listening to while preparing for Erasmus+, a song that represents your emotional state with regards to the Erasmus+ experience (joy, excitement, homesickness, etc), or a song in the language of your mobility country that you have come to love.

Here are some examples of possible entries:

• Happy – Pharrell Williams

 • Vivir mi vida – Marc Anthony

 • All by Myself – Celine Dion

 • Je veux – Zaz

>> The deadline for submitting your entry is 27.10.2025. <<<

For who?

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never been on Erasmus+ and are dreaming of an experience like it, if you’ve been on Erasmus+ 3 years ago, or if you’re on your experience right now: everyone in the community is welcome to join this contest!

The prize

When you participate in this contest, you’ll have a chance of winning a 1-to-1 speaking session where you can practise your spoken Hungarian skills!

Final notes:

 - Please be reminded not to write anything that could be considered offensive. If you’re unsure, please check our OLS Forum Netiquette and House Rules.
 - You can only submit a maximum of one entry via the comments.
 - Everyone who participates in this mini contest has an equal chance of winning, and there will be ONE winner who will be chosen at random via raffle.
 - The contest will be valid if a minimum of 3 people participate. So, be sure to share the news with your fellow mobility participants!

Good luck everybody and have fun thinking about your Erasmus+ Theme Song!

Warm regards,
Ágnes, OLS Community Manager, Hungarian

Imagine - John Lennon

This song was sang by a famous jazz singer Thomas Quasthoff in the Liszt Academy of Budapest last week. For me it was very touching because it reminded me about the hard period we are living with but also gives a positive hint on lives, that we can cope and help us together making soemthing beautiful. This is what is happening in my Erasmus in Budapest, I met people from different places, but we have the same dreams and face the same difficulities and we are building heartfelt longlife relationships

Hi Letizia,

This particualr performance of Imagine sounds wonderful, thank you for sharing! I don't remember, when was the last time I went to Liszt Academy, your comment made me nostalgic about it and I might go soon:) Imagine is a very powerful song indeed and I see how this event and performance can make your Erasmus more memorable ... indeed Erasmus makes a little bit of the song at least come true and this is what so wonderful about the Erasmus experience - we all live through that experience regardless of where we come from:) Thank you for your great entry!

Dear Community,

The submission for this contest has been closed on the 27th of October. Unfortunately, as we didn't receive the minimum amount of participation (min. 3 participants), we cannot announce a winner this time. Follow our announcements and forum discussion topics for the next contest and invite new members who might be interested in the community as well - as the more we are, there is more chance to reach minimum participation next time!

Warm regards and nice weekend to all of you!
