Η γιορτή του Erasmus+: Όταν η Ευρώπη “μιλά” ελληνικά και κυπριακά

Τα ErasmusDays είναι μια διεθνής γιορτή διάρκειας έξι ημερών για το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+, κατά τη διάρκεια της οποίας φορείς, σχολεία, οργανισμοί και πολίτες σε όλο τον κόσμο καλούνται να διοργανώσουν ή να συμμετάσχουν σε εκδηλώσεις που αναδεικνύουν τις ευκαιρίες, τις εμπειρίες και τις αξίες του προγράμματος.
Στην τρέχουσα έκδοσή τους (13–18 Οκτωβρίου 2025), οι δράσεις μπορούν να υλοποιηθούν τόσο σε φυσικό όσο και σε ψηφιακό περιβάλλον και να περιλαμβάνουν σεμινάρια, παρουσιάσεις, εκθέσεις φωτογραφίας, εργαστήρια, συζητήσεις, διαγωνισμούς και ψηφιακές προκλήσεις.

Η κεντρική θεματική φέτος εστιάζει στις ευρωπαϊκές αξίες — όπως ο σεβασμός της ανθρώπινης αξιοπρέπειας, η ελευθερία, η δημοκρατία, η ισότητα, το κράτος δικαίου και τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα — καθώς και σε έννοιες όπως η ένταξη, η ανοχή, η δικαιοσύνη, η αλληλεγγύη και η μη διάκριση.

Στην πλατφόρμα «Events» του ErasmusDays εμφανίζονται χιλιάδες δράσεις από όλο τον κόσμο — το 2025 έχουν καταχωρηθεί ήδη πάνω από 6.400 εκδηλώσεις.
Ας δούμε τώρα πώς μεταφράζεται αυτή η γιορτή στην Ελλάδα και στην Κύπρο, με δύο χαρακτηριστικά παραδείγματα από κάθε χώρα.

Ελλάδα: δράσεις μέσα από τοπικά παραδείγματα

Παρουσίαση εκπαιδευτικών δραστηριοτήτων – 5ο Λύκειο Ιωαννίνων

Στις 13 Οκτωβρίου 2025, το 5ο Λύκειο Ιωαννίνων διοργανώνει εκδήλωση με τίτλο “Presentation of educational activities in Italy, Cyprus and Spain – ERASMUS KA121”.

Σε αυτή τη δράση, μαθητές και καθηγητές θα παρουσιάσουν τις δραστηριότητες που πραγματοποιήθηκαν κατά τις κινητικότητες σε Ιταλία, Κύπρο και Ισπανία. Επιπλέον, θα δοθεί πληροφόρηση για το πώς το σχολείο φιλοξένησε μαθητές και προσωπικό από άλλες χώρες. Η θεματολογία αφορά ψηφιακές δεξιότητες και ένταξη.

Startup Greece Week – Tripoli

Ένα πιο «επιχειρηματικό» παράδειγμα από την Ελλάδα: Startup Greece Week 2025, που τελεί υπό την αιγίδα του ErasmusDays, πραγματοποιείται στις 17 Οκτωβρίου 2025 στην Τρίπολη, στο γραφείο Startup Greece.

Σε αυτή την εκδήλωση, νεοφυείς επιχειρήσεις (startups) θα παρουσιάσουν τις ιδέες, τις προκλήσεις και τα σχέδιά τους — επιδιώκοντας συνεργασίες και ανταλλαγή γνώσεων. Η δράση δείχνει ότι η προσέγγιση του ErasmusDays στην Ελλάδα δεν περιορίζεται αποκλειστικά στη σχολική εκπαίδευση αλλά επεκτείνεται και σε τομείς καινοτομίας και επιχειρηματικότητας.

Κύπρος: παραδείγματα δράσεων που αναδεικνύουν τοπικές ιδιαιτερότητες
Erasmus Festival – Λάρνακα

Στις 16 Οκτωβρίου 2025, το Erasmus Festival θα λάβει χώρα στη Λάρνακα, στο Med High Private English School.

Η ημέρα θα περιλαμβάνει παρουσίαση του προγράμματος Erasmus, διαδραστικές δραστηριότητες με συμμετοχή μαθητών και προσκεκλημένων από Σουηδία και Λετονία, και στο τέλος θα γίνει μεγάλη ελληνική χορογραφία — ως συμβολική ένωση μέσω μουσικής και χορού — τονίζοντας την ισότητα και τη συμπερίληψη.

Together We Belong: Celebrating Inclusion and Diversity – Λεμεσός

Μια ακόμη δράση με έντονο κοινωνικό χαρακτήρα είναι το “Together We Belong: Celebrating Inclusion and Diversity”, που πραγματοποιείται 15 Οκτωβρίου 2025 στο Αθηναϊδειο Γυμνάσιο Καθολικής στη Λεμεσό.
Αυτή η εκδήλωση στοχεύει στην ενίσχυση της ενσυναίσθησης, του σεβασμού και της αποδοχής διαφορετικών πολιτισμών, ταυτοτήτων και ικανοτήτων. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, οι μαθητές συμμετέχουν σε δράσεις δημιουργίας — όπως η κατασκευή ενός «Τοίχου της ένταξης» — ενώ παρουσιάζονται τα Erasmus+ έργα του σχολείου.

Τι μαθαίνουμε από αυτές τις δράσεις;

Μέσα από τα παραδείγματα αυτά γίνεται εμφανές ότι:

Τα ErasmusDays λειτουργούν ως μια «πλατφόρμα» για να αναδειχθούν όχι μόνο οι ευκαιρίες κινητικότητας αλλά και το κοινωνικό και πολιτισμικό αποτύπωμα του Erasmus+.

Στην Ελλάδα, οι δράσεις εκτείνονται από σχολικές παρουσιάσεις έως και καινοτόμες εκδηλώσεις επιχειρηματικότητας.

Στην Κύπρο, δίνεται έμφαση σε σχολικές κοινότητες και κοινωνική ένταξη, με δράσεις που συνδυάζουν εκπαιδευτικό και πολιτισμικό στοιχείο.

Τέλος, αυτές οι εκδηλώσεις δεν είναι «μόνο» προβολή των έργων Erasmus+, αλλά ευκαιρίες για διάλογο, δικτύωση, ανταλλαγή καλών πρακτικών και ενδυνάμωση της συμμετοχής των πολιτών σε ευρωπαϊκά προγράμματα.

The Erasmus+ Celebration: When Europe ‘Speaks’ Greek and Cypriot
ErasmusDays is an international celebration held over six days, dedicated to the Erasmus+ programme. During this time, institutions, schools, organizations, and individuals worldwide are invited to organize or participate in events that showcase the opportunities, experiences, and values of Erasmus+.

In the 2025 edition (October 13–18), events can take place either in-person or online and may include seminars, exhibitions, workshops, discussions, competitions, and digital challenges.
This year’s central theme focuses on European values — such as respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and human rights — along with inclusion, tolerance, justice, solidarity, and non-discrimination.
On the official ErasmusDays platform, thousands of events are listed globally — in 2025, over 6,400 have already been registered.
Let’s now take a closer look at how this celebration is being realized in Greece and Cyprus, with two representative examples from each country.
Greece: Highlighting Local Initiatives
Presentation of Educational Activities – 5th High School of Ioannina
On October 13, 2025, the 5th High School of Ioannina is hosting an event titled “Presentation of educational activities in Italy, Cyprus and Spain – ERASMUS KA121.”
Students and teachers will present their mobility experiences and activities in Italy, Cyprus, and Spain. They will also share their experience in hosting students and staff from other countries. The themes focus on digital skills and inclusion, reflecting the school’s Erasmus+ priorities.
Startup Greece Week – Tripoli
On October 17, 2025, the city of Tripoli will host Startup Greece Week 2025, an event under the ErasmusDays umbrella.
Organized by Startup Greece, this event features presentations from young entrepreneurs and startups discussing their projects, challenges, and future plans — aiming to build networks and foster innovation. This initiative shows that ErasmusDays in Greece is not limited to schools but extends into areas like entrepreneurship and innovation.
Cyprus: Activities with a Social and Cultural Focus
Erasmus Festival – Larnaca
On October 16, 2025, Med High Private English School in Larnaca will hold its Erasmus Festival.
The day includes a presentation of Erasmus+ programme benefits, interactive activities involving students and guests from Sweden and Latvia, and a large Greek dance performance — symbolizing unity through culture and movement. The event highlights equality and inclusion as core European values embraced through youth collaboration.
Together We Belong: Celebrating Inclusion and Diversity – Limassol
Taking place on October 15, 2025, at the Athinaideio Catholic Gymnasium in Limassol, this event titled “Together We Belong: Celebrating Inclusion and Diversity” emphasizes empathy, respect, and acceptance of different cultures, identities, and abilities.
Students will participate in creative activities — such as building a “Wall of Inclusion” — and the school will present its Erasmus+ projects. The event serves as a powerful reminder of how Erasmus+ promotes diversity and inclusive learning environments.
What Do These Events Reveal?
Through these examples, it becomes clear that:
• ErasmusDays acts as a platform not only to promote Erasmus+ mobility but also to celebrate the broader social and cultural impact of the programme.
• In Greece, the events range from school presentations to innovation-focused networking sessions.
• In Cyprus, activities emphasize school community engagement and social inclusion, blending education and culture.
• Ultimately, these events aren’t just about showcasing Erasmus+ work — they offer opportunities for dialogue, networking, exchange of best practices, and a deeper citizen engagement with European initiatives.
