Dear English community,

I'm delighted to invite you to 2025’s last speaking session of the year! In our speaking session you can practise speaking English with our friendly and encouraging group of OLS community members. This month’s  speaking session will take place on:

>>> Monday 24 November at 3 pm CET, so register here today and mark your calendar!

About the event
The goal of the session is to practise our English-speaking skills and get to know other members of the English community. We will also practise everyday speaking by delving into topics like discussing our language learning, sustainability, travel, and even philosophy. During the session you’ll also learn how you can make the most of your time with OLS.

How to participate
If you want to participate, please let us know in the comments section below, and we will reserve a place for you. There are only 15 (to a maximum of 20)  spots available in the session, so we kindly ask you to let us know in advance that you will join. Please also let us know what your level of English is, so we can create creative activities that suit your needs! Also, if you participated last time and enjoyed the speaking sessions, you are welcome to join again this time!

Thank you so much for your lovely message! It was such a pleasure to meet you during the speaking session.

I checked our communities, but we unfortunately don't have an Albanian community after all because Albanian is not part of official Erasmus+ languages. You can find all the communities and speaking sessions we do offer here: https://academy.europa.eu/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=26458

As for your and Vlad's question, you can enter the Learn a New Language page here: https://academy.europa.eu/local/euacademy/pages/course/community-overview.php?title=learn-a-new-language

You then click on the yellow button on the right underneath the picture that says 'welcome to OLS' (I think the yellow button says either 'resume' or 'enrol').

After you've taken this step, you should be able to find language communities via the link I sent to Vlad: https://academy.europa.eu/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=26458

Let me know if that works, otherwise I can send the entire list via English community!

Hi Marieke,
Thank you so much for your message – I did receive it! I actually tried to reply several times to it, but unfortunately a system error kept popping up every time I hit “send”. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience and for the delayed response.
Regarding the Albanian language, it looks like we’ll have to wait until at least 2030, when Albania hopefully becomes a full-fledged EU member.
As for the January speaking session, I really hope I’ll be able to join. I’ll definitely do my best to be there.
