It is a great pleasure to have you here sharing your experience of travelling to and within the Czech Republic.

Dear Martin,

could you please help me to understand the system of EU Academy? If the volunteer does not have any knowledge of Czech language, where can he find the relevant course? I found a few videos without a structure and it is not clear what is the lesson number 1 for beginners.

Dear Lenka,

Firstly, it is great that you had a tour around the OLS platform and searched for learning content. 

Secondly, thank you very much for your question regarding the learning path for Czech language.

We suggest the beginning learners several things:

  • to see or test their level of Czech, they can take the Placement Test

  • to start their learning journey, they can follow our first course - Czech A1 Level here

  • as you have discovered, they can also join our Czech community here and share/discuss/propose learning
    ideas and experiences with other users

  • proactive learners, they can start their own discussion topic related to Czech language in one of our forums, in the case of learning Czech, it would be "Practice your Czech" (click here)

  • last but not least, if situation requires/or is desirable, we can organise an online session/short talk or even a F2F meeting in order to clarify any issues more efficiently.

The OLS platform has been restructured recently and new courses (levels) are being added continuously. We would appreciate your feedback, questions, sharing or any interaction you may decide to have with us or our users on the platform.
