Hello lovely community!
This is the week all Dutch and Belgian children have been waiting for all year: it is officially Sinterklaas! It is typically celebrated on the 5th or the 6th of December, but it can be celebrated on others days this week by different families. That is why we have an entire week of 'Sinterklaas' here on the community :-)

Sinterklaas is a Dutch and Belgian festivity similar to Christmas in the sense that there is an old man with a beard wearing a red outfit, there are 'helpers', there are presents and it brings the family together. However, Sinterklaas is packed with unique traditions, songs, recipes and much more. And those traditions as well as the history of Sinterklaas and some Sinterklaas themed vocabulary is what we are covering this week.
So stay tuned for lots of goodies to coming to the community very soon :-)
Festive greetings,
Marieke (OLS Community Manager)
