A big part of every culture is its cuisine. The Czech culture notwithstanding. With the Christmas being around the corner (though not important at the same level to everyone), it is the time when you tried to go back to your cultural traditions and at least prepare a meal you liked to eat during this festive period. That can sound easy - go and buy all the ingredients for Fried Carp and Potato Salad (which are the basics going into the Czech national Christmas meal). The harder part becomes when you live abroad and wish to do the same, remind yourself of the tradition at least by cooking the dish which brings all the memories.
