On this forum, we will regularly post different language activities to encourage and #PRACTICE the Slovene language in an exciting and fun way on music, food, sport, hobbies, etc., you name it! So please subscribe to the forum to receive notifications HERE.

Hello! The first words I learnt when I visited Slovenia were: 1. DOBRO JUTRO which means good morning, and I like to say good morning in places I visit! 2. PROSIM which means please, because I am polite, 3. HVALA which means thank you, very useful word in many circumstances, If you want to thank someone, 4. KAVA which means coffee, I am a coffee fan, I always drink coffee in the morning, at noon, studying or at work and 5. I want to find a good dictionary or something to learn Slovene language, and when I will be there again I think I will do good practice! I want to meet and make a friendship with Slovenes!

You can start learning your Slovene here (Živijo, Ljubljana!) at this OLS platform, and we will add more short courses soon! We will let you know when published, as this new OLS platform is still under construction and only few courses are available for now.

In the meantime, you can check the page of the Slovene national Centre for Slovene as a second and foreign language range of professional materials and textbooks here. If you click each, you can browse them online or listen to audio units.
