Wherever you go, it's nice to know how to say 'hello' in local language. Let's try to learn it in Croatian!
- Bok! - the greeting known in the central Croatian region. If you are on Erasmus in Zagreb, it is a perfect casual greeting.
- Bog!- if you are in Dalmatia, this version, once originated in Austria and Bavaria, will be the most widespread.
- Zdravo!- the general greeting, evoking and wishing someone good health, which is always good.
- Dobar dan!- the greeting meaning 'good day' can be used throughout the day, until the evening.
- Dobro jutro! -meaning 'good morning' and is the greeting that is used only until noon.
- Dobra večer! -when it gets dark, you have to use this greeting suitable for the evening hours
Now please, say 'hi' in Croatian and introduce yourself. :)
Example: Bok! Ja sam Loreta, a ti? (Hi. I'm Lore, and you?)
