Dear community,
I have a present specially made for you. It’s a Dutch Holiday themed Quartet game. You can print the game and cut out the cards, play and boost your Dutch vocabulary skills in the process. Enjoy!

How it works?
- Print the downloadable print-out file (slightly thicker paper would work best)
- Cut along the lines of each ‘card’ until you have 36 cards
- Gather at least two people (besides yourself) to play with
Rules of the game
In the
game there are 36 cards, with 9 categories and those categories have four cards
each (a quartet). The game is played with at least 3 players.
At the beginning of the game the cards are shuffled and dealt evenly between the players. Each player holds the cards in a way that the other players can’t see them. The game starts with the player to the left of the dealer asking another player if they have a certain card within a category which would help the player create a ‘Quartet’ (i.e. complete a category). If the player has the card in question, they hand it over. It is now the turn of the player to the left of the previous player.
When a ‘Quartet’ is created by a player, or a complete quartet was dealt, the player says ‘QUARTET’ to the other players and the cards creating the quartet are placed in front of the player.
The game is finished when all quartets have been created (i.e. all categories are completed). The person with the most ‘quartets’ wins.
