Dear community,

Are you moving to or living in Groningen? Then this micro-community is for you! Groningen is truly the ‘student’ city of the Netherlands. It’s packed with student houses, it’s relatively affordable to live there, has loads of café’s and the city center is very cosy.

This community on OLS is the place where you can connect with peers who are travelling to the same city as you are. Whether it’s sharing your favorite restaurants, bars and events, or asking for tips on housing: everything is possible in this micro-community! Plus, you can organize a meet-up amongst yourselves to a make some new real-life friends in Groningen.

So, if Groningen is your city of choice, invite you to introduce yourself to the community below!

Warm regards,

Hoi allemaal,

My name is Simon, I am 23 years old and I will be studying in Groningen as an exchange student during spring 2023. I'm from Sweden, where I study urban and regional planning in Uppsala.

I am excited to learn about planning from even further perspectives. When I'm not busy studying I like expressing myself creatively whether that's through drawing, writing, trying new recipes, crocheting... I am looking forward to meeting more people once in Groningen and hopefully making friendships along the way!

Hi Simon,

Happy to meet you here on OLS! Groningen is such a great choice. I used to live there as well when I was a student. If you want any 'Groningen tips', let me know. I'm always happy to share :-)

Looking forward to hearing more from you on the forums!

Warm wishes,
