Tere, kallid keelehuvilised!
In this discussion topic, we will provide you with a brief explanation of the courses available in the Estonian Learning Community and Resources and guide you on obtaining the corresponding certificates. Let’s dive in!
1. Language Assessment
If you have not taken the Estonian placement test yet, you can take it here.
It will give you a good idea of your level and where you fall within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
At the end of the placement test, you will be able to access your results and download your certificate. This certificate will also be available on your Dashboard under the tab "My achievements".
2. OLS Courses
Don't forget you can always sign up for another course. They have been broken down in bite-sized pieces so you don't have to complete it in one go and they will definitely help you get a better grasp of the Estonian language.
It is also a great way to set goals regarding language learning. Do you want to get better at listening, reading, speaking or writing? What level do you want to reach in 6 months? Set your own goals and don't hesitate to share them here in the forum or with your friends and classmates.
The OLS Estonian Learning Community also offers you various courses that cater to different levels.
They are all interactive, so you can try learning vocabulary through a game, or try to perfect your pronunciation of õ, ä, ö and ü.
These courses include 10 or more modules on different topics and learning goals. Please note that we are continuously developing new course material and module. For advanced learners I can recommend the OLS Blog and the forums:
3. Download Your Certificates
So you've found the Estonian Learning Community, taken the placement test, downloaded your placement test certificate, you've enrolled in the Estonian courses and you're a pro at navigating OLS but ... did you know you can also access your grades?
All you have to do is click on your name on the top right of the page.
Select 'Grades' and you'll be able to see all of the courses you are taking on the EU Academy webpage as well as the grades.
Have a look and don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
