Hello people, how are things going?
I wanted to give you a heads up on a new article in Spanish that we have published. The reading level ranges from B2 to C2, so we encourage anyone with an intermediate proficiency to check it out.
That's right, it's about Mexico as you may have guessed from the title. It specifically focuses on my experience in San Cristóbal de las Casas, a city with beautiful colonial architecture located in the highlands of the southern state of Chiapas.
I have done my best to create a blog that is both informative and fun. The topics include my daily routine in the town, the multicultural landscape of Chiapas, the Aztec origin of some Spanish words, the Mayan ruins of Palenque, and my disastrous first date with tacos. Believe me, it was not fun.
In case you are wondering, the word "kolabal" means "gracias" in one of Mexico's 68 indigenous languages. Would you like to know which one? Here's the link :-)
Let me know what you think
When you are done with the article, I would love to know your thoughts about in the comments of the blog. Your feedback is really valuable for me as it enables me to evaluate what I publish. This way, I can know whether to continue in the same line or change my approach. Finally, I have prepared a small reading comprehension exercise for those of you who feel enthusiastic :-)
That's all, amigos/as. I wish you a wonderful evening and, above all, a good read!
Un abrazo para todos/as y ¡qué vivan los tacos!
