Hello, dear community members. It is February already. Time flies by :(

A few weeks ago, a good Italian friend of mine sent me a video via Instagram. In that clip, there was a person speaking a mysterious language, which we had never heard before. Yet, we were both bizarrely able to understand everything he was saying. We were instantly hooked.

The language in question is Interlingua, an artificial tongue similar to Esperanto. In reality, what makes it special is that it is a mixture of Latin-based languages and some English. Isn’t it so cool?!

I guess by now you know where I am heading. Exactly, I contacted the fascinating Interlingua speaker and asked him if he would grant us an interview. And he said yes! His name is Carlos Valcárcel, a Galician academic and expert in Romance languages. In recent months, he has become quite a sensation on social media, where he speaks only in Interlingua.

I think you will enjoy the conversation (Spanish), so, please, do go and check it out. I also encourage everyone to have a look at Carlos' TikTok and Instagram profiles. You will undoubtedly be amazed.

We publish blog posts pertaining to Spanish-speaking countries and language learning in general on a regular basis. Some are in English, others in Spanish. We aim to create useful and interesting content for everyone, regardless of their language level.

So far, we have released 13 blog posts, which are available in the “Resources'' section, below the forums. We advise you to open them in a new tab or window, otherwise you will get an HTML document in which neither the images nor any other multimedia feature will be displayed. We are currently working to resolve this technical glitch. Apologies for now.

That's all folks. Lots of peace, lots of love, lots of articles and lots of Latin languages.

¡Buena lectura! :-)
