Hi everyone!
Do you know what day is today, besides the beginning of spring? It's Mãrtisor!
Martisor is a traditional Romanian celebration. The name comes from the Romanian words "martie," which means March, and "isor," which means little. It celebrates the arrival of spring after the cold winter months.
The Martisor tradition involves wearing a small ornament with red and white strings. On March 1st, people give Martisor trinkets to each other as a symbol of friendship and love. You can read a lot more about this tradition in this new blog post!
Do you have a similar tradition in your country? What do you usually do on the 1st of March? Let us know by replying to this thread!
