Establishing and growing sustainable Women Angel Networks and Syndicates in less developed markets

In this topic, you will hear from Women Angel leaders from Central and Eastern Europe, who will share insights and experience on establishing new networks and syndicates in Angel markets that are less developed and where the number of women engaged in investing remains disproportionately low. You will learn about the approaches they have taken to raise awareness among women of the opportunity to invest, including access to education, capacity-building activities, and actions to mobilise women into Angel syndicates, with a strong focus on backing women founders. The session will explore which actions can have the greatest impact in effectively structuring and growing a new network in a challenging market, as well as how to address barriers to growth, commercial viability and long-term sustainability. You will gain practical advice and guidance on what works, what issues should be considered, and what lessons can support those taking leadership in empowering women-led Angel syndicates.
